As part of our Nature & Biodiversity topic, the Eco Club visited Forest School this week to observe the wide range of biodiversity we are lucky enough to have right here in our school grounds. We couldn’t believe how much we found!
As well as a huge variety of plants and trees we found ladybirds, snails, ants, worms, caterpillars, bees, wasps, spiders and literally too many woodlice to count! We even found a cute little family of slugs resting under a log.
Our biodiversity hunt really made us appreciate the nature all around us and made us even more determined to increase the biodiversity of our school grounds further!

Eco Club Last Term worked on their Plastic and Waste Module.
Eco club worked on how our everyday choices affect the planet—and what we can do to help. They shared this information to the school with their fabulous Eco Club Assembly.
Introducing the school to their very own "Put it in the Bin" song, proudly created by Eco Club members to encourage proper waste disposal.
Eco club also created a beautiful display board using magazine cuttings.
Exploring God's Creation
Eco club have been reflecting on the beauty of God's creation and the role we play as stewards of the Earth, Eco club created their very own prey to end their club.
New Module: Environmental Impacts

Bottle Top Collection – For Our Eco Mural!
Help us create a stunning mural by collecting plastic bottle tops of all colours and sizes. Let’s turn waste into art
The Eco Ambassadors finished the first term of their Fast Fashion module with an amazing upcycling workshop, where they were able to show how old clothes can be upcycled and transformed instead of being thrown in the bin (and finishing up in landfill!)
With the help and talents of three amazing parent helpers, each child was able to update and customise an item from their wardrobe which was not being used anymore and learn some new skills in the process!
We were so impressed with the creativity and design flair demonstrated by the pupils, as well as their responsible behaviour and regard for safety around fabric scissors, heat press irons, needles and sewing machines. They really did themselves proud and it was a pleasure to watch their ideas come to life!
Thank you to all the parents who sent in haberdashery items to assist with this project - the children were spoilt for choice! And, of course, a HUGE thank you goes to our wonderful parent helpers Nickie Bush, Laura Bennett and Lisa Sugrue - without your help, we could not have run this hugely successful Fast Fashion workshop. What a great way to end the term at Eco Club!
