Mayoral Debate
Yr 6 Eagle Class sent four more pupils to the second Mayoral Debate this year, at the Mayor’s Offices at Kings Hill. Ben, Izzy, William and Amber all had the opportunity to participate in two debates; the role of recycling in our homes as well as the contentious issue of access to mobile phones for pupils in primary school. They all took an active part, and voiced very considered opinions on each subject. I understand they were a credit to the school. It is interesting to hear the final debate results:
Is it worth recycling? Yes: 40 No: 0 Maybe: 0
Mobile Phones? Yes: 29 No:11 Maybe: 0
Our thanks to Mrs Hadley for helping to transport the pupils with Miss Hand. They also had a great time, with some ‘Secondary Ready’ practice returning by bus after the event!
