Our new Digital Leaders gave an excellent presentation, in two assemblies today, about the importance of safety online.
Tailoring the assembly to both Key Stage one and Key Stage two, the detail given included interaction between their audience as well as a detailed PowerPoint about the importance of keeping safe. Their audience were keen to join in and share their knowledge, with lots of hands up at quiz time!
The main message to all pupils was to make sure that a trusted adult is involved in their use of the internet ; always talk about what they have seen; especially if it is something that they do not like or feel uncomfortable seeing. Searching for photos and images for homework, sharing photos with friends; all these images are permanently in the internet.
One of our images shows the slide with detail for Key Stage one - which even in a simpler form, showed the importance of not following random links on a website.
Congratulations to our Digital Leaders, on their first assembly. Having completed the first few weeks of their Digital Leaders Course, they planned and created a very informative but relevant and enjoyable assembly. Well done team!
