Our Year 5 students presented a powerful and thoughtful class assembly, showcasing their learning from across last term. They explored the events of World War II, reflecting on its impact through stories of courage and resilience. Linking this to their Religious Education, the children shared the message of hope found in the Risen Lord and how His resurrection inspires us to act with compassion and justice. Drawing on Catholic Social Teaching, they highlighted the importance of dignity, solidarity, and helping those in need. The assembly also featured reflections from the book Wonder by R.J. Palacio, reminding us all to "choose kind" and treat everyone with respect and empathy. It was a moving and meaningful presentation.
