Well Being
Here at More Park, wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We recognise the huge significance of emotional wellbeing on overall development and readiness to learn, and are passionate about providing the right support for your child. We are proud to have achieved the National Nurturing School Award and The Kent School Award for Resilience and Emotional Wellbeing, demonstrating our commitment and dedication in this area.
As a whole school, we have the following:
- School Dogs
- Listening Ear
- Memory Garden
- Emotional Support Sessions
World Mental Health Day and Children's Mental Health Week every year. Additionally, every term we hold a "Wellbeing Wednesday" or "Feel Good Friday", during which children come to school wearing their own clothes and spend the afternoons participating in wellbeing activities with their class.
When necessary, specialist support may be required, we make referrals and co-ordinate support from other services including Kent Young Carers, bereavement charities, Kent School Health, CAMHs and the Kent Early Help team.
