Welcome to Eagle Class!
Our Topic: The Windrush Generation (Term 1)
Our topic this term is ‘The Windrush Generation’, where we will be exploring the journey of the Windrush generation, their experiences in Britain, and their significant contributions to British society. In English this term, we will be reading Coming to England written by Floella Benjamin. We will be basing our writing around this text. Reading
In Year 6, you will continue to choose your own books to read from the book corner, the school's library or a book of your own. You should be reading 5 times a week and this should also include reading with an adult, where they can extend your understanding by asking questions about the text.
Homework
You will be set weekly homework on a Friday. Homework books are due back the following Thursday. This includes maths, reading, timetables and spelling.
