Science at More Park
At More Park we understand the importance of Science in our daily lives and equip our children with the scientific knowledge and skills to prepare them for an increasingly scientific and technological world. We provide stimulating, engaging and challenging Science teaching in order to foster a natural curiosity and sense of wonder about the wider world.
With God's help, the children will learn to question and discuss scientific issues that may affect their lives, by working scientifically, using scientific enquiry and embedding their understanding and use of scientific language.
Throughout their time at More Park, the children will experience a variety of scientific topics to encourage respect for the physical environment, living organisms and the processes of Science.
All classes have at least one Science lesson a week, incorporating a range of scientific skills. The children are also provided with various science enrichment days and activities with talks, workshops and Science Week. Eco Club runs various initiatives and challenges throughout the year, including 'plastic free week' and introducing more recycling into the school. Children are encouraged to question and take an active part in their Science learning and other scientific activities in school.
