We are very lucky in school to have lots of budding musicians at various stages of learning their instruments. Different groups meet together on a Friday lunchtime to practise for mass, assemblies and other events during the year. We always perform at the School Music Evening in May.
Very different skills are needed to play your instrument as part of a group rather than on your own. As well as developing these skills the children find all their hard work at practising their instrument really pays off when they can have fun making music together.
